頂新集團爆劣油案，連帶影響旗下味全公司的林鳳營鮮乳。去（2016）年PTT上有一名黃姓網友在JOKE版發文「找到味全化工奶訊息」，並告知網友公視會在當天晚上播出，不過內容張貼的影片連結卻是多氯聯苯毒油事件，讓味全憤而提告。台北地檢署審理此案，認定黃男未經查證轉貼文章，著實影響味全商譽，今（7）日依誹謗罪將黃男起訴。
頂新劣油事件鬧得沸沸揚揚，讓許多民眾對於標榜「濃醇香」的林鳳營鮮乳望之卻步，不過，其實過去公開指控味全化工奶的網友可不少，像有名女網友曾在臉書po文痛批「放在室溫下5天，林鳳營鮮奶聞起來奶味濃沒凝固，一直標榜沒添加任何東西，結果勒？」另外，《FHM Taiwan 男人幫國際中文版》也曾在臉書po出惡搞林鳳營的Kuso照。
味全當時皆有提告，當時檢方認為食安問題關乎食用者健康甚鉅，屬於可受公評之事，因此先後將這些人全都不起訴。不過，針對黃男在PTT的貼文，北檢認為影片內容是探討1979年的多氯聯苯毒油事件，並非是化工奶，雖他的本意是提醒民眾注意，並非惡意妨害味全的名譽，但卻未經查證就轉貼文章，今依誹謗罪將他起訴，而這也成了首件因散播味全是化工奶被起訴的案件。
味全公司則表示，言論自由是民主社會中最珍貴的價值之一，一直以來也尊重來自網友、媒體的監督與指正，並以此作為讓產品更好；但面對不實的輿論，味全也深感痛心、無法苟同。因此，若有恣意以謠言損毀味全公司的產品形象，將會維持一貫的立場，採取法律行動以維品牌信譽。
朝鮮半島局勢持續升溫，美國國防部長馬提斯（Jim Mattis）於昨（9）日警告北韓領導人金正恩，必須立即停止一切有可能將導致「政權滅亡」的行動，並且聲稱，美國及其盟邦皆具備相當精確的防禦以及攻擊力。
馬提斯表示，北韓必須停止孤立自己的行為，並停止發展核武，甚至應即刻停止採取任何有可能將導致北韓政權滅亡，及人民毀滅的行動，認為北韓政權不可與美國相比，若展開任何軍事行動，北韓將是必敗無疑。
聯合國秘書長古特瑞斯（Antonio Guterres）發言人表示，對於「日益增加的對抗性言辭」感到十分憂慮；俄羅斯駐聯合國大使納班濟亞（Vassily Nebenzia ）則說，面對北韓的問題，希望美國仍能自律，不要採取有機會引起北韓做出危險行為的舉動，且呼籲以談話方式，來緩解目前與北韓之間緊張的局面。
對此馬提斯也直言，北韓這次所挑起的言論，為他上任以來最為強硬的一次，若北韓發動任何行動，均將造成規模難以想像的悲慘後果。
